In a world of rocks, road debris, bird droppings, bug splatter, UV rays, acid rain, and a host of other environmental contaminants, what’s a new car owner to do? The road fights against the look and quality of your car’s paint. How can you and your car fight back?
The most comprehensive form of automotive paint protection is Paint Protection Film (also known as Clear Bra). Paint Protection Film is a urethane covering that is wrapped around a car’s exterior to provide a line of defense against environmental hazards. Can Paint Protection Film be used with a Ceramic Coating?
Yes. In fact, that is the best form of automotive paint protection you can purchase for your vehicle. A Paint Protection Film is applied to the most vulnerable parts of your vehicle, and a Ceramic Coating is applied on top of the film and over all exterior painted surfaces. Learn more about using Paint Protection Films and Ceramic Coatings together.
What do I need to do after application?
After application you should wait at least 7 days before washing the vehicle. After that, you can wash your vehicle as you normally would. If you are using a pressure washer, be sure to stay 8–12 inches from the edge of the film in order to prevent peeling. If using compressed air, keep the nozzle one foot away from exposed edges. Avoid wiping or cleaning the film in direct sunlight. If the film is not covered with a Ceramic Coating, you should apply a high-quality wax or sealant regularly. Finally, do not use a powered buffer on the film.
Will Paint Protection Film change the color of my car?
No. A good clear bra is a virtually invisible urethane film that is both stain and fade resistant. It won’t impact the color of your car. Learn more about the history and technology behind Paint Protection Film.
How does Paint Protection Film self-heal?
The self-healing technology describes clear bra’s ability to return to its original form after washing marks, swirl-0marks, or other light scratches are introduced into the surface of the film. Paint Protection Film will not heal if the film is fully punctured or torn. Learn more about the history and technology behind Paint Protection Film.
How long does Paint Protection Film last?
Our leading film, XPEL Ultimate, is warrantied for 10-years.
Can Paint Protection Film be removed?
Yes. Our trained professionals can remove Paint Protection Film without damaging your car.
